While it's unlikely to happen this year, I wonder how long it will be before we see Marley Williams given the chance to move into the midfield? Assuming he has the tank for it, he seems to have all the skills and physical attributes necessary to become a tough inside/outside midfielder. I guess, the issue is really can we do without him in the backline? Assuming he was moved to the midfield, my back 6 would then be:

Maxy Keeffe Sinclair (when fit)

Young Frost Seedsman

In time we're probably going to have to find room for Scharonberg in our back 6 as well, and are you forgetting about Langdon?

Rude I was thinking a similar thought the other day. He looks ready made for the mid field and his kicking skills and ability to avoid tackles in traffic makes him immensely dangerous.
I imagine he will get time in the mid field next year in readiness for Swans career winding down (Swan more than likely will spend more time forward in the next year or 2)
His fitness is probably behind this year due to his late start for his off field troubles.
I can't wait to see him working in tandem with Pendles and Beams

Questions over his running power and ball winning ability. Doesn't strike me as a mid at the moment and is still finding his way in defense.

I think he is more valuable down back as some one who can lock down and rarely loses a contest. Also provides some drive.

We have plenty of alternate mids on our list with Freeman, Adams, Kennedy, Martin etc to add to Beams, Pendles, Macaffer.

I've been banging on about this for a while now. Marley is made to be a mid or forward, he certainly has the skills and his evasiveness is a joy to watch, plus he's getting his kicking efficiency right up there. Most importantly he has the low centre of gravity possessed by two of our very best in the last 50 years. Perhaps were waiting for our 2 high draft picks to bolster the backline before unleashing Marley as our new goal kicking mid?

35forever,

May I take a guess when you say "Most importantly he has the low centre of gravity possessed by two of our very best in the last 50 years", you're referring to Daics and Dids?

Wink
