Some of the most mind-boggling stuff I've ever seen today.
Sitting up on Level 3 because of taking the 8 year old and 6 of his mates for his birthday.
So, we waltz up to Level 3 and find we have to sit 10 or so rows back because the first portion of rows are Reserved Seats. Ok, whatever, so far........

So, the game starts with the General Adm areas fairly populated without being full, but with those rows of reserved seats about 1/4 full.
Halfway through the first quarter a couple of teenagers arrive & sit down, only to be told by the Etihad Stadium employee that they're in reserved seats and have to move to the general admin area, despite the row they sat in being dead set empty.
What a farcical situation.

Anyone else see anything wrong with this picture??????

Looks to me like Pies fans are boycotting this useless stadium anyway.

Footy is an outdoors game but Etihad always closes the roof. Stuff them!

All of this os secondary to the fact that we look about 10 goals worse whenever we play this stadium.

same thing happens at the MCG, first 20 rows of top deck 'reserved' but empty.
looks terrible, and not fair on the fans who make the effort to show up.

I'm dropping my full legends membership next year and going MCG legends.

Dare I say it, Etihad may be the worst AFL stadium. I'm going to Metricon and Skoda this year, so I'll be able to give a definite answer by the end of August.

There is nothing about Etihad that I like and nothing about Etihad that I want to be connected to.

Oh that stupid bloody loudometer!! Rolling Eyes
How low can we actually go??
They completely kill the atmosphere at a game of footy with all the loud music, kiss cam, silly dancers, etc, then try to revive it with that nonsense!?!?

29,000 I think wasn't it??
Collingwood vs a Melbourne based opponent on a Sunday afternoon drawing that low a crowd has to have given the AFL a wake up call if they're not awake already!!

Etihad suits fast break footy sides- north, carlton, dogs, etc.

It's a way smaller- thinner ground- which doens't help us.

On the wide open spaces is where our structures are best suited.

Etihad cramps us- and allows opposition to pinball smash and bash the ball around and scrap goals.

Also, it is a horrible ground as a supporter.
Hate the place.

Had this been played at the G- they wouldn't have been able to play the way they did.

Today was the first Collingwood game in my memory that I could go to and chose not to. Sick of sitting in the clouds while a bunch of seats go vacant even though I go every week.

The game is in huge trouble.

Etihad would have been a much better stadium had we won today.

I think the narrower ground definitely stymied our play. We just took so long to make decisions with the ball. We wouldn't take the game on. But I suppose we did alright there against the Aints.

Hate the stadium. Half full yesterday yet from the final siren to get to Platform 10 at Southern Cross it took my daughter and I nearly 20 minutes. That was actually helped when the bozzo's at Metro decided to open up the platform barriers when the queues were banking back near the start of the bridge.

I understand that we need to play 2 home games at Shitihad but it always seems one of them is always against the Bulldogs. Why doesn't the AFL mix it up each year. Why don't we play more of the interstate teams like Lions or GWS at Etihad, why is it always the Bulldogs. We have played them once at the MCG in a H&A game since the start of 2007.
