Pies by 14 in a goal-to-goal tussle.

Look for some long 60 bombs from Harry.

GO PIES.

I had a dream last night bout this game and we trounced the Hawks- Young was as star and pretty much unstoppable. Although I don't think we will really see the 150 metre goal he kicked last night - which he kicked from the kick out after a Hawks rushed behind (I'd be happy with a 60 metre bomb)

My head is saying we are in trouble, my heart is saying Pies all the way, my gut is saying an upset in the offing, and my wallet is saying, GO PIES.

If we can hold their forwards, beat their mids, smash their defence, beat their talls, outplay their smalls & kick a higher score than the Hawks then we are a chance.

My head is saying we'll do well to get within 3 or 4 goals, my heart is saying stay home, you fool. That and "dude, what the hell was with last night,... I've just about had it with you, buddy!"

The rumour about Frost not coming up beating loudly, Marsh will come in for him, talk about a baptism of fire for your AFL debut. Although I didn't think he would come up when Marsh was named as an emergency on Thursday night.

Pies need to pressure Hawks for 4 quarters if we are to have any chance. If we play an uncontested game or let them control the ball at all they will cut us apart. My worry is that generally when we have played the Hawks over the last few years they have had that 20-30 minute period where they put 5-6 goals on us and that basically becomes the difference.

Best of luck pies and go bloody hard at those sooks.

The dawks fans will be out in force.

They are over confident and arrogant.

A shock win with cloke and elliott firing is what we need.

Harry and toovey need to play out of their skin.

Really would love to see it just to shut their fans up.

A couple of 50/50 frees at crucial stages in out favour wouldnt go astray either.

I would love to see a bruising encounter of one on one, mad tackling, fight to the death and never giving up. Then if we lose we can say they gave it a shot.

Against all my better instincts, i will be there.

Let us pray.

Not sure what the weathers like down there but up in NE Victoria is a shocking day, if it's going to be wet we might play benken ahead of the broom.

If marsh plays I reckon we'll play him forward with White playing a KD (assuming Frost doesn't play), that will mean Grundy will have to come in though, might have 2 late changes, Broom-Frost out, Marsh-Grundy in.

Head Says Hawks by 50

Heart says Pies by 20

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If Frost does not play.

How about we Bring Grundy in and Him and Witts play FF, Cloke at CHF, White at CHB and Keeffe at FB?a

I'm predicting a gritty, fighting win. Pies always play at their best with their backs against the wall after a loss.

Not predicting this, but I am hoping that, for the first time in his career, Blair will turn on a beauty against a seriously tough opponent. Most of his good games have been against weak clubs. Blair has been very good this year at his best .... and worse than ever at his worst, which is two games out of three. After his worst game of the season last week, this is decision day for Blair. Either he is among our best against the Hawks, or else he has proved himself not good enough to stay in the side as a regular and can go and play with Marty in the seconds as nothing more than depth.
