Wishing Billy all the best in getting through this latest setback.

Uncertainty around his return to footy this year and playing future. His foot was so bad he couldn’t feel it and it had turned black. Vascular issues require surgery and lengthy recovery, but here’s hoping for the best outcome and Billy’s health.

Yes,it’s very worrying to hear this about Jamie.Hopefully they can get to the bottom of the issue soon and treat it effectively. What I can’t understand is why our fitness head Wade kept saying it was only a very minor vascular issue in his injury reports. How could it be a minor issue if Jamie’s foot was black during games? There’s a real contradiction there that doesn’t make any sense.

Terrible news for Jamie and I wish him all the best for a speedy recovery, whether he can play again or not. Vascular/circulatory issues can be tricky because there are many potential causes for a condition like that.

If anyone can fight back, it'll be Jamie

Rotten luck and the fans not knowing if/when he'll come back.
Billy is one of our heroes in the team, I hope to see him fit in time for the finals.

We all wish Jamie a quick recovery. He's a fighter that's for sure, and has battled a series of back and hamstring issues on and off throughout his career, forcing him to miss at least a couple of whole seasons. If anyone can overcome this further setback it's our 'Billy'.

Let's not blame our fitness staff for initially telling us he had a "minor vascular issue" and would be back in 3 weeks or so. They can only report on the basis of the medical information they receive, and the probabilities which accompany that information. Sometimes doctors are wrong.

This is Nicks. Blame is our raison d’être.

Look I hope Jamie gets back, been a great player. Now a premiership player. At 31 with an injury like this a player does need to think about the rest of his life and not risking any greater damage.

Wishing only the best for him whatever transpires. Really hope we get to see him line up for us again – but if we don't, when looking back at his injury struggles throughout his career, I'm so glad that he got to play in a winning premiership for us and also carve such an indelible name for himself as part of Collingwood history across 2022/2023 in particular.

The Club has jumped on this Rumour pretty quickly. Expecting him to return between round 13-16.

Bloody good news!

Caro and Robbo were prepping “Pies star to get leg amputated” headlines already.

Sam McClure reported that he had "Definitely seen the amputated leg, that it was being bronzed as we speak, and would be on display at the club HQ within the next 2-3 weeks."
