My worst call this season was believing maxy would struggle to get a game and saying so openly among friends and even on here on one occasion.

Though I never crossed the line into disrespect I thought he would struggle to even be depth.

He has made me look a fool (not hard) And I'm quietly happy about that.

Me too and I admit that I was got it badly wrong and I'm absolutely delighted that Maxy has given me a big serve of humble pie to eat.

As for the Faz, I always thought he was absolute class and in our best 22 whether up forward or back but I was concerned how he'd recover from the navicular bone injury. Looks very, very good thus far.

I thought we couldn't win a game without Sinclair in the side. I was wrong.

Fas is the new Leon. His drive and disposal out of defence is on par with Leon. He is getting better and better as being a pure defender as well, so I think he will cope if they try and push him back deep.

Hawks are a different side we will need someone quick like Sinclair or Williams to look after Hill or Cyril. Faz ain't the man for that job!

Start of 2010 season I ventured an opinion to my equally one-eyed sister that Malthoouse didn't see to have any idea and we'd never win a flag under him. I think I might have been a bit premature with that one.

I thought Jack Frost was never going to make it and was going to be a huge liability in the backline, happy to be proven wrong. Very Happy

Well done Tannin on admitting that you were wrong! In regards to your question I must admit I was wrong in two cases relating to Collingwood this year so far.

Firstly I had strong doubts about how we would perform this season and thought we'd really struggle to make the top 8 especially after the Fremantle match where I had big doubts about Nathan Buckley and his coaching ability. I thought we'd really decline this year but the club has surprised me in a positive manner and my pessimism at the start of the season has turned into optimism now. I love watching this current side develop at the moment and the emerging youngsters are starting to excite me big time.

Secondly, I was very critical of Alex Fasolo and what he could contribute to the side this year despite missing most of the year last year through injury. I questioned his attitude and his defensive game but he's proven me wrong on both accounts. He's been a revelation since he returned and his game against North Melbourne was superb today with great run from defence and he's a good user of the ball as well which excites me. Keeping him in the defence is the way to go in my opinion and I love how his attitude has improved immensely in the past twelve months! Maybe his injury last year gave him time to ponder and re-evaluate his goals at the club and become a better player for it in the process.

Yep, Maxy is proving a few of us wrong at present.

A few owe Sidebottom an apology I reckon after his game today. happy to be a supporter of his.

Frost's disposal and option taking remains a concern, but gee I like his ability to take the game and the man on. If he can mark and hand off to Fas, Sidey, Young etc, he'll be even more dangerous. Maxy notes that he badly lacks confidence and belief in himself. Look forward to seeing him with more belief.
