MM is one of these weak individuals who has little strength of character and abused his authority by playing favourites. He gave opportunities to people he favoured (eg Daisy Thomas) whist giving little opportunity to those for some reason he did not like (eg: Tyson Goldsack)

Heath Scotland was a victim of this. The fact that he won a best and fairest at the Scum and played on for many years proves his viability as a senior player.

Despite his age and this being the end of his career due to age, once MM joined the Scum this was inevitable.

MM did the same with Danny Stanley. Drove him from the Club.

Could be wrong, but I think he is the last player to have played a senior game for us at Victoria Park. Possibly the last player in the competition full stop (not sure if Dustin Fletcher ever played there).

I just checked and, yes, Heath was the last player to have played a senior match at Vic Park full stop. Bit of an end of an era there. Sad

Wow. Definitely. I hadn't stopped to think that now no current Collingwood player has ever played an AFL game at Victoria Park, let alone anyone else.

And that is just one of the reasons I think of him as a despicable human being.

It is not the benefits that the favoured receive that alienates me. It is more the misery imposed on those who are treated with disrespect.

I was a little sad when Scotland was traded, thought he wasn't that bad but I guess if he wasn't getting gametime for whatever reasons it was a waste of time staying. All the best to him in retirement.

No different to Daisy. Didn't like the coach, so he left for our most hated enemy. Barely played for us anyway and just a good ordinary player. So he won a B&F at one of the worst clubs in the comp? Good on him Rolling Eyes. He is not Collingwood.

Could never understand why Heath wasn't getting a regular game at the Pies, hence why he asked to be traded..............and fair enough. I look back during that time and think of Rupe and Scotland.......and stick another pin in the Malthouse voodoo doll!

A very good player during his career..........I just wish it could of been with Collingwood.

Go the Pies

Your sentiments aren't lost here David. It's an interesting fact I wasn't aware of and a little meloncholy.

Great, that's one less ex Magpie running around for those bluescum turds, hope he comes back home now, back from the evil empire.

Good Lord! That is sobering!

Going to games at Vic Park seems like yesterday. Getting old I guess. Smile

It was a sad day in club history when he was traded for the talents of Brent Hall.
