Hey KM... as you walked into the stadium (as in through to the seats) almost definitely there would have been a sign stating that the area was a Collingwood home game members area or something like that.

I hate it... it looks horrible... and it's a killer for those that just want to turn up on the day. Remember those people AFL??? The rank and file?? People without a million bucks to spend on whatever.

Having said that members who have paid reserved seats... either they start a buyback system or we're going to continue to see this rubbish.

I think the G is actually worse because the supposed "reserved seats" relate to tickets sold at Ticketek or Ticketmaster. You see empty row after empty row ... for the whole game. It's a joke. I can't believe that they are still yet to create a system that only opens a bay up for sale after the one next to it has been sold. Bloody stupid.

I have a full Legends membership with a reserved seat on the bottom deck and live a comfortable walk from Eithad but I simply couldn't be bothered going, yesterday. It is not a proper venue for football and the results that occur there very often have nothing at all to do with the quality of the competing teams.

Moreover, I am getting very tired of so many games being played at inconvenient times. I won't be bothered going to a game against the Blooz after 7pm on a Sunday night, either, irrespective of the venue. That's just ridiculous.

I doubt I'll renew my membership at all next year. I'm fairly confident from looking at the huge empty areas of reserved seating around me in the middle deck of the Ponsford every week that I'm not the only one tired of rearranging my weekends to suit the AFL's television broadcasting schedule. The Club should see that as a serious issue, even if the AFL doesn't.

Here Here, I would suggest memberships across all clubs will be down next year. People are voting with their feet.

Etihad would have been a much better stadium had we won today.

Nah, terrible stadium that is hated by the majority of our fans.

Inconceivable that we have to play any home games there but then, it is a mickey mouse organisation that cannot really be taken as a proper sporting competition. Embarrassing.

I agree, it should be Interstate clubs we play there. Usually we play the Bulldogs and the Saints who both specialise* at Etihad as our home games.

The fixture was crap this year, no way, no bloody way, will I go to these inane late sunday night games, thats just so stupid, and inane. Bad time to take the kids to footy, and what about work and school. No wonder I only bought a three game membership this year, too many games at weird times. Rolling Eyes Mad
