Fwiw, the queens birthday fixture is more trouble than it's worth. Every year we have 6 day turnarounds which impacts recovery. Let someone else play the Dees. We don't need practice playing in front of big crowds. We do it almost every week. If never want us to give up Anzac Day and by giving up QB there'd be less whinging.

Just a thought.

In past years we had a bye the week after Queens Birthday, and then usually played Sydney in Sydney the week after which we'd win. This year we had our bye earlier creating a 6 day break which is being followed by another 6 day break Confused

I would welcome it. I get fed up to my eyeballs having to watch us play in "someone else's grand final" weeK in week out.

Less big matches, more under the radar please.

lol. how the **** do you think collingwood will ever play less big matches? perhaps we should move to etihad, that will fix things.

collingwood will never go under the radar, not unless we drop to the lower reaches of the ladder.

the queen's birthday fixture will disappear soon enough. how old is lizzie now?

Even when Lizzie departs the date will remain the same anyway. It's not even her birthday.

I agree. Get rid of it. Once all this equalisation stuff kicks in there will be no more handouts from us to the likes of the Dees

I'm pretty sure we let them have it as a home game every year don't we?
