I can't understand how one does a quad injury at training.

I know shit happens but this isn't the first time this season that players have suffered fresh soft tissue injuries at training.

Makes you wonder that in a supposed professional environment if we are ticking all the boxes as we should.

Pissed off right now.

How long does it take a normal player to get over a quad injury, and how long does it take a Collingwood player to get over one?I'm betting there's a fair difference between the two.

Why do we have such bad luck?

A bit like Bucks in 2007 missed most of the year but came back late and made an impact.

I think you're memory is clouded with respect. I know what you mean. Bucks played about the last 4-5 games in 2007 and whilst you'd normally say every touch was gold, he was far from his best, albeit he was just finding some form in the finals before his hammy went again. Mind you just his presence was a lift to the team.

For Reid's sake I hope it's 'nothing' like Bucks in 07 and he makes it back this year and can be our secret weapon.

Could be our Mr. September. The beauty is that we are going good without him.

Was it a Mistake to Re-Sign him to a 4 Year Deal?

While it's terrible news that Reid is injured....again, this will provide opportunities for others.

Reid's prolonged absense will virtually guarantee we stick with the Grundy/Witts ruck combination. Witts will assume more of the ruck duties going forward, especially now that Grundy has shown he can play as a key forward. So structurally, nothing much will change. I'm sure the club will now begin planning for our September campaign, assuming Reid will not be part of it. If he comes back now, it will be a bonus.

Yes Dave, for the same reason it was a mistake to sign Beams who missed most of last year, and a mistake to sign Grundy who missed most of his first year, and Scharenberg and Freeman and Ball and Macaffer and Young who have all missed a lot of footy. [/END_SARCASM]

Yes totally agree Rudeboy... Grundy showed he can lead and take a strong pack mark - however he needs to nail those set shot chances inside 50!

I also think we can start with both Grundy and Witts and then sub one out and bring in a runner later in the game.

One serious injury. His current injury is said to be minor, I guess we'll see how minor it is in the next few weeks.

Yeah, trade him while his stock is at an all time low. That's a GREAT idea, that one.
