Different sport I know, but given the discussion happening in this thread I thought this may interest some.
Helena Costa, although being still relatively young, has done some pretty hard yards to get where she is (coaching lower league mens sides, coaching Benfica's youth teams etc.). I'm not familiar with Peta's back-story so don't know exactly what credentials she has but I see no reason why not playing at the top level or being a woman can prevent someone from coaching in a male dominated sport. |

im actually quite surprised the saints did not appoint that legendary st Kilda schoolgirl, she was a club legend wasn't she, a few years ago. LOL

I'm glad she's getting a go. And has been said elsewhere she'll provide a model for footballers that women are more than sex objects.

Then perhaps the women who actively pursue footballers should stop acting like them.
Getting tired of people thinking we're still living in the 50's where women are always the innocent party whose virtues must be protected.
Women want equal rights?
Fine.
Now start taking responsibility for your actions as well.
