hey everyone , i was at the footy as you do and i thought everyone was way to excited , for a win over a bottom 4 side. its good to win by 10 goals but good sides have to do that to crap sides. yes we needed to win and we did but the test comes in the next few rounds , we need to do that to the other sides, if we are going to be a real finals threat we r going to beat these lowly sides ... so lets keep following the boys and cheering for them as we always have , and lets hope we keep winning ! cheers robbo, and well see everyone at the cricketers next week .

Wots wrong with getting excited at the footy? A win is a win. Don't matter if it's by 1 point or 100 points. Don't matter if it's to a high up the ladder team or a team that's cellar dwelling.

I agree, Clemo. A win's a win. Especially this season.

Before the Dees game, some media tipsters were picking a Pies loss. They're bottom 4 because we put them there. Yes, most of us expected a big win but we also expected to cream the Swans.

The Bulldogs are the current cellar dwellers but no team is looking at a game against them as a gimme. I bet I'm not the only one tipping them against Sydney, next wekend.

And for a few of us who remember the '50s and '60s a win against the Demons is still sweet, however they're travelling. And for those of you who have followed the Maggies since 1970, how much did we LOVE thrashing the Blues, last year !!?

Yeah ur right but still theres no harm in getting excited with a good, solid win. Its what we all live for.

I agree that it was a win but it wasn't over a form side so although we are all glad we won, we shouldn't go getting ourselves to excited. The same thing should happen when we lose sure be dissapointed but don't go carrying on like it is the end of the world. We need to be able to react in a more balanced way rather than going from one extreme to the other although it's hard with footy because it is one time emotions never get hidden.

a wins a win, which leads me to think that its a pity that we dont have to play more of the easy sides twice. which leads me to think that we're really not up to scratch if we need to play easy sides to make us look good!

Lets put it in persprecitve ... it was a GREAT win!!!!
Why? Because for the first time this year, we did NOT have a 20 minute period where the oppostion kicked multiple unanswered goals. Even in the last quarter when the game was over we broke even. You cant be brialliant for 4 quarters, so you need to make sure that you at least hold during the down patches. WE DID THIS. That is a great sign.

7 wins in arow then REVENGE against Brisbane. Smile

The point is that WE have been playing 20 minutes of crap in each game. That is a mindset/concentration problem and the opposition is largely irrelevant. We were terrible for 25 minutes against hopeless sides like Geelong and Carlton but got away with it. WE DID NOT DO THIS last weekend. That is a GREAT sign.

Admittedly it aint time to open the 1990 Grand Final port we all bought that we are going to break open when we win our next flag.

Nevertheless.Lets go berzerk and enjoy it,realistically,we do not know when our next win is.If we only celebrate the big wins then it reduces the amount of times we do so.

Lets enjoy every moment as who knows what tommorrow holds for each and everyone of us.Not being negative or a pessimist, just a realist. So we should continue to enjoy each win as if it is our last.

GO PIES
