What a night!!
MM has already declared that finals start this week,its wet,its the biggest crowd outside victoria ever..what more could you want?
Just when i was ready to enjoy the night..onto the field came the anti christ doing a lap of honour waving to the crowd..i went outside and threw up.
Not long later it was game on and the umpire threw up..the ball that is..too wet to bounce tonight!
then he threw it up again to restart the game and away we go.
on the bench we have Molly MCG Lonie and Burns.
late changes saw Mckee and Cole miss out for molly and mcg to come in.
Tex is at full fwd to start with and he gets a free and kicks a point to open the scoring.
Cloke thumps the kick in fwd from the pack Bucks roves it hands to Lika and the first goal of the night goes to the pies.
Ump throws up bucks clears ant bombs tex marks and its goal number 2,only 3 minutes gone and we are all attack.
Bucks does the ruck thump,willo gets a free and woey goes OOF.
we have wasted 3 shots in 4 minutes but all is not lost.
Swans finally go fwd cloke is pinged but they hit the post.
we scramble fwd from the kick in willo gets a handball off to scoots and its goal number 3.
Willo is under every pack so far.
Ant marks passes to josh at 40 dead in front and he misses..geez this goal wasting has got to stop.
The swans kick in goes OOF tex bombs long,burns at back of pack does a shearer and its goal number 4.
players are slipping over so often it looks like a speed skating final.

Goodes is becoming a real pest,he seems to be by himself all the time and is where the ball is all the time too.he goals..but Ant goals from the next clearance to get that one back for us in no time flat.

our tackling has been ferocious but the goal kicking once again is letting us down.

Bucks has only had a few touches as kirk is his second skin,you could see bucks isnt happy.
swans get 3 goals on the trot,the 3rd from a 50 against brodie for coming in late and kneeing a swan on the arse.

as is the norm for the pies even tho we should be 10 goals or more up,the other team is still in it due our bad kicking.

Lika burrows under the mud gives a quick hand to scoots and he goals at last to keep us 3 kicks in front.

its a scaramble as we desperately cling to our well deserved lead we have held all night.
Clement soccers a point for them to make the diff 18 points with 3 minutes to play.

second spot is ours for now.
the way it looks is we will play brisbane in a qualy final..our game against the bummers will decide if its at the G or the gabba.
i see the top 4 being Pork us brians wet toast.
it was w ell managed team effort but ive got to say why goodes was let loose all night is amystery.
still we got the points.
im used to close games after 50 years of watching us,and am never happy until the whistle blows to call full time.

clement and wakes were rocks of gibraltar as was cloke.
josh did well around the ground..tazza gave off lots of passes but i wish he could kick straight.daks lika cheesy and scoots all did their bit in the midfield.Ant was a presence when we needed him.
give them all one vote each.
some of willos work was good,not all of it tho.
like last week it was a team effort.
