Not just yet. Very impressive today. Must get a victory to lift our spirits.

Very impressive?

We couldn't compete with a team who themselves will only battle ther way into the eight.

'Impressive in defeat' is such a cop out.

Just my opinion. I thought we looked impressive up until 3/4 time.

Exactly my point.

We played our guts out and came up second best. Doesn't auger well for the rest of the season if our best is not good enough to win matches.

Let's hope Bucks and Taz can come back in and turn it around.

Taz and Pebbles have not played together this year, it's really hurting us.

only played our guts out in 2nd and 3rd. Crap in 1st and 4th. At least we showed glimpses I suppose.

Finals are seeming further and further out of reach unless we can get rid of this poor form very quickly.

Well we did play our guts out for most of the game, but that doesnt mean we played our best. I think we tried very hard and the effort was there, thats what i meant. I dont believe that our best isnt good enough.

And Taz and Pebs have played together this year, and that was the only game we won... coincidence? I think not..

Lets worry about winning a game first before worrying about finals.

Lets have a look at it realistically. We need to be close to even at the half way mark of the season to have a chance of making the eight. Our next 6 rounds are as follows:
Port - More than likely a loss away from home.
Carlton - Should be able to win this one.
St Kilda - On current form, more than likely a loss.
Adelaide - Should be a win at home.
Kangaroos - Should be able to win this one.
West Coast - Should be a win at home.
Therefore we should be 5-6 at the half way point of the season. There is not a lot of margin for error but if we can beat either port or St Kilda which are two teams we have a great record against in recent years, we may even be 6-5. From there, I have marked 8 games that I think we can win. The others are touch and go.

We will continue to struggle (and lose) whilst we play a team that will, at best, kick 15 goals a game.

Agree with you completely that none of the games are certanties. What I was looking at was how we can get back into the finals race which is why I used the word "should" win and not "will" win! I still have the hope that we can play finals this year but I am also realistic with regards to our form at the moment.

But all we can ask for is a red hot contest. We got that for 3 quarters. I'd love to win but at least they're having go.

A much better effort today but still failing in some of the basics. Disposal errors and not manning up are still killing us.

Some positive signs but I wouldn't be talking about finals at the moment.
