MEDIA RELEASE FROM THE AUSTRALIAN FOOTBALL LEAGUE

The AFL wishes to advise that the Round Eight match between St Kilda and Collingwood, to be played at Telstra Dome on Saturday May 15 has now been designated as a Reserved Seat Ticket game, due to the expected large crowd.

There will be no general admission area on level 3 for this match and each person entering the venue must have a designated seat ticket.

Level 3 seating, which does not have an additional seat cost, will go on sale on Friday 30th April at 9.00am from Ticketmaster7.

Can't see how this game will sell out. Will probably be top v bottom by then.

The St.Kilda supporters will be there for sure, but most of our bandwagoners will be gone by then.

40,000 max.

Pretty strange that it will be all-reserved ... but there's no reserved seat fee for level 3.

That's just stupid.

But of course, Ticketmaster will slug the usual booking fee, no doubt Mad

What a bunch of parasites they are.

AFL and Ticketmaster ... bed buddies 4 ever.

Saints are playing well and we always get a good turn out no matter what, that's why it is fully ticketed.

Before TD becomes a ticketed affair, the game should be moved to the MCG.
The MCG has tiges vs dogs on that day, so a straight swap would be best.
Bite the bullet AFL and look after your supporters for a change.

I agree Eunos, the AFL should look at moving the games before making it fully ticketed.

Bloody ticketed rubbish - I refuse to give those money hungry (substitute word here) any more money. What happened in the old days was if you wanted to go to the footy and there was a chance of a big crowd ...guess what? You got there EARLY!

Dont see why the AFL dont transfer the game....they dont seem to do that much anymore though do they? I cant see it selling out anyway unless Collingwood start getting some wins on the board fast!

excuse my whingeing but as a first time member who had to save for months to buy an 18 game membership and support the club, i'm now expected to fork out more money for round 1 v richmond, now saints, i cant even get in on anzac day to a game ive already paid for.... next year they can get stuffed. will not renew membership until mcg is complete for 2006 season. would love to support the club but rent and food are more important (only just mind you...)

Your "whingeing" is very understandable ... and you're not alone there. Footy memberships have become a complete rip-off lately. I'm only going to non-ticketed games this year. And I'm paying at the gate.

Most of the "blockbusters" are on TV anyway, so what the heck.
