If Tambling does a Judd to them.

They take good player, Roughhead (or Hodge) and skip on Tambling who becomes a superstar.

Ouch. They better hope they made the right decision.

Although Richmond does have a habit of ruining many people's usefulness.

Mind you we are in the same position if Egan duds and Bate masters.

We are definately in a similar position with Egan.

He sounds very good, but why would we choose him over Monfries, Meyer and Bate?? Confused

Wierd, but good luck to him.

I heard Roughead interviewed on SEN last week by Dermie & the afternoon crew & he came across outstandingly as a player with maturity, savvy & character. He really impressed.

Dermie was creaming himself & just about told him he was coming to Hawthorn. Is anyone wearing 23 at Hawthorn currently?

Quality KPPs are harder to find than midfielders, especially in the draft.

Nope... 23 was just vacated by Nathan Thompson. Perhaps he isn't as nuts as people think by getting outta the Dawks nest?

tambling was always thought to go to richmond with the 4th pick. it was thought that it would go like deledio, griffen, roughhead and tambling. it was mostly media bs having tambling go at number 2

take a look back a couple of months when some ppl even thought that the pies mite get him with pick 7

"I think it will be Hawthorn but I'm not quite sure, so we'll see what happens tomorrow. I'm pretty happy with Hawthorn. I've spent a few nights with (Hawthorn recruiting manager) Gary Buckenara and he made me feel very comfortable, so that's good."

The pressure is right on Roughead now. I have the feeling that Tambling could become an instant star, and Roughead will definitly take his time, being a big man.

IMHO, when you are in the position that Hawthorn are in, you don't have the luxury of picking what you need, but you pick the absolute best player available.
It would be different if they had a solid defence and really good midfield, then they could afford the luxury of selecting what they need to plug the one weak link in attack for example. But they have neither and therefore I think they have made a fatal mistake!
