Old decision I know but: 90% of the bounces favored the team going towards the Brisbane cheer squad. One went out of without any players touching the ball and most of us had a laugh at the umpire. Bounce the ball again or throw it up instead? I’ve heard media dickheads ideas on the topic but now I want to see what us Collingwood Magpie fans think!

How was the umpire on Sunday - twice he bounced it facing towards the boundary line, about 1 metre in. Doh, of course it was going to bounce over the line as it did both times!!!

I vote for throwing the ball up!

Throw up the farking thing. I'm sick and tired of misbounces. They always seem to favour the other team. Don't seem like 50-50 to me :0

Yeah...throw it up, for the sake of some sort of consistency from an umpire!!

I@n S, pretty close to it!!!

I've got the red hair (blondish red) and the curvaceous figure (probably not as big up top though - is anyone really?!!!).

But if the umpires were to bounce the ball again, they would have wasted an extra 10-15 seconds. Would they then take the clock back to how it was before the awkward bounce? I think it would be another burden to the timekeepers who already appear to be making mistakes regularly.

ytry4, that's why the ball should just be thrown up to start with - the umpires shouldn't even waste their time trying to bounce the ball cos they're obviously useless at it!!!

The biggest thing going for throwing the ball up is that you can get umpires who are expert decision makes but unskilled bouncers who then can't get a game and vice-versa.

Maybe we should have expert centre bouncers who don't umpire?? That's a bit wierd though. What do others think?

Cool Kristin5
mmmm one umpire for bouncing the ball! Well i think he/she would just get in the way like the other useless umpires do!
Maybe we should get robots to do it!

I got a better idea lets stuff up the game completely lets introduce a round ball..the very unique part of our game is the bounce of THAT ball.HEY I GOT IT ? lets have a crane say on top of all grandstands on every ground, introduce a fourth umpire and his job will be to simply hang of that hook and drop a ball directly above the two ruckman awaiting the hitout.WOW.

COLLINGWOOD..simply the best...BETTER THAN ALL THE REST!!we will never forget our great number #42...GO YOU BLOODY PIES yeaaah LETS KICK ASS.lets kill the bloody bastards !!

I THINK WE SHOULD THROW IT UP,COS THE BOUSE IS BLOODY SHOCKING AT THE MOMENT,HALF THE TIME WHEN THE BLOODY UMPIRE BOUNCES IT GOES TO THE ONE SIDE ON THE CENTRE CIRCLE AND FAVOURS THE ONE RUCKMAN,I AGREE WE SGOULD THROW IT UP IN FUTURE
