Not a bad injury list at all.

He'll need a few weeks in the VFL, first.

According to an article in this morning's Herald Sun, Shawry is ready now and ropeable that the club won't let him play.

http://www.heraldsun.news.com.au/footy/common/story_page/0,8033,18789446%255E19742,00.html

They are being cautious as it's been only 10 months and it usually takes 12 months to recover fully. The club is also wary given that Tom Davidson had back-to-back reconstructions. Much as I'd like to see Shawry back now, I'd give him until the end of the month.

Save him for the second half of the season - we don't need him yet given the extra legs in the middle provided by Swan, Thomas, Caracella and his brother (and Davies a Williamstown).

Definately, Rand. But I suspect the club might not do that for another week or so. Better that Shawry train the house down for another fortnight, than come back too early, re-injure himself and miss another season.

Just because he is fit, does it really mean he is just going to walk straight back into the team? Personally the thing that i enjoyed the most in the second half against hawthorn was our clean disposal by foot. Ryce isnt exactly going to help keep that trend going is he.

No need to rush him keep him till he is 110 % right or we really need him.

Rhyce was easily the best player for the first half of last year. His determination was brilliant & it is great to see him hungry for more.

Looking forward to his comeback & will add a lot of speed to our side, especially with Rus a couple weeks behind him.
