Why Licca must go back to tagging role!

I am of the opinon from what I have seen that Licca thrives when he gets to do run with roles. When he was our key tagger he was brillant at shutting down oppostions most damaging player. Now I know he is a little slower but I still think he has enough mongrel in him to do it. He would be pefect for Ball or Del Santo on Sunday and I would like to see him give Stephen baker a couple to the ribs.

With Holland out , Licca has to step back into mongrel mode and forget about been an offensive player and remind the saints that they are the mini bus of the AFL - Half a coach , Half a team!

Good call, I reckon he gets as many possesions while he's tagging so why not add a scalp while racken em up!

Licca won 2 Copeland's as a tagger and he should have remained in that role. His disposal and decision making is not good enough for him to be an attacking midfilder/half forward.

I agree with you, 3rd. Licca did make has name back in 2002-2003 as a tagger, perhaps the time is right to move him back to that role. We know he'll still sniff out the ball regardless of the role he fulfills, so it would be worth a try, particuarly in Holland's continued absence. We miss the Licca of old, the grunty, tagging Licuria. The current model is fine, but sometimes you have to take a step backwards to shift forwards.
