As the Pies left AAMI channel 10 showed a shot of Presti visibly upset. It appears he blames himself for our loss with Hentschel taking that mark and kicking the winning goal. And perhaps he could have done better but truth be told there are a million other instances you could single out (Fraser not handballing to Rocca alone in the goal square anyone?).

The point is Prestigiacomo typifies the kind of attitude we need to foster at the club. He is the ultimate team player and obviously cares very deeply about the Collingwood Football Club. It is inspiring to see. During a week where so much crap has been written about what we don’t want at the club I think it is worthwhile taking a moment to acknowledge what we do want. And what we do want is guys like Presti who have their heart and soul committed to our club.

On ya Presti – great effort, killed Roo and held Hentschel but for that brief moment. Keep it up, keep setting the example, keep bleeding for the pies.

neither forward lines were that great last night

and i rate buckleys none handball in forward 50 a bigger mistake then frasers, buckley very unlike him had poor vision, and went for a low percentage shot at goal (around the corner and along the ground)

maybe with frasers rocca should of been saying hes hot

Sometimes I think love is just a biological urge. Other times LOVE seems like a spiritual quality. Love, unlike energy or matter, seems limitless.

I love it Hal Very Happy
MS1986 even though I have many favourite players in the side, Presti is the one I most admire, especially because I play almost exactly the same position (and role) as him so watching him play is a good learning experience. Surely he must be one of the most under-rated players in the comp.

Good effort by Presti, he and the rest can hold their heads up, they fought it out we just kicked shit. He did his best, all we can ask for, and he gave it his all for us last night.

Too bad Tazza didn't get that goal, but we got close.

Should be all Australian fullback...he is sensational and its only since I have sat behind the goals that I have fully appreciated his greatness.

Should have outmarked or punched the ball from Hentschell in the last 2 minutes when we were a point up.

Presti, unfortunately, cost us the game.

You are kiding, right? If you look at the mark, he ended up marking it between his legs in the end. That's where the luck comes into it!
What Fraser missing from 2m out and out on the full didn't cost us the game?
What about Bucks missing from 45m out directly in front, that would have put us a couple goals up at a crucial time?

My point being is that there are 20-30 instances that cost you games of footy and rarely does a single incident do it! Small things that swing the game in your favour or gives you momentum!

It was Presti's man and he stuffed it up.

Even Presti would admit that.

He will be reliving that nightmare all week.

Thats absolute crap.

He was on top all night, and i never onced thought he should have done more.

I can think of at least 4 chances our forwards had to seal the deal, and it wasnt taken.

Fraser to Rocca
Buckley on the run from 50
Tarrant touched on the line
Rocca touched on the line.

Of those Frasers was worst, but earliest in the game therefore hardest to ping.

Tarrants was just bad luck...the kick was perfect, just needed an extra meter or two, that kicking from outside 50, Taz doesnt really have.

Rocca was too close to the man on the mark, and to get 60odd metres from a standing start was a fair effort in itself.

It wasnt technically bucks who turned the ball over, but i expected him to drill it from hte 50 instead of passing it.

Oh well, GF is at the MCG not AAMI, they have to lift their game, not us.

Presti's efforts last night were heroic. He played on Hentchel and a champion player in Roo throughout the night. He is a star and one of our best on ground last night. Every week he puts his all in. He shuts down star players. He is 2nd in the league for spoling marks. I have never seen him give up in any contest. His heart is the size of the MCG. He bleeds for the club and thats why i wear the number 35 on my back.

As far as Presti costing us the game; if he didnt play we would have lost by more than 4 points. I'll look forward to your next post that will prob blame Taz for missing his shot at goal. Robert Walls what a great poster.... not really.
