Collingwood's Peter Daicos' phenomenal ability to kick goals from seemingly impossible angles or when under the most extreme pressure was arguably unequalled in the history of the game. Certainly this ability became Daicos' trademark, so much so that when players nowadays demonstrate a comparable knack they are almost invariably said to be 'doing a Daicos'.

Mate sensational again, 250 games, 549 goals- and nearly everyone of them worthy of a highlight reel. Truly a magic player Daics. _________________ Need a pen? try Pen Island. www. penisland. net |

Great video again Nick mate and also a very very very top song, I love that song! For Daics you should have found an 8-10 minute song just so we could sit here for that long watching all those highlights and bring back alot more memories but yeah once again you are keeping us occupied over the off season, thanks mate! _________________ PAUL MEDHURST'S #1 FAN

I will never, ever get tired of watching that vid F2006.
Truly your best work so far and that is saying something because the rest of your body of work is by far and away better than any highlights packages I have ever seen.
I watch magical goal after magical goal waiting and hoping to see one of those one-handers I used to love and most people forget about. It is amazing to think that not only did he have the best feet in footy, but his hands were pretty amazing too.
Thank you F2006 and have a great Christmas. _________________ "MAKE COLLINGWOOD GRATE AGAIN" |

Ah The Macedonian Marvel. My childhood hero. He kept the magic alive through the dark years and had the most subtle but significant effect on the 1990 GF when he kept past demons at bay with his two early goals. He also showed that footballers need to evolve as he went from the midfield to HFF to FF over the course of his career. He was unbeatable one-on-one (both in the air and on the ground) as much as he was a freakishly skilled player. The Marvel and Bucks are the two standouts in my lifetime.
Thanks again favourites. |

Yeah same here...absolute legend (and if anyone says im bandying that word around in this instance...we'll have words)
Had his poster up on my wall...truly a magician.
One of the great things about that video, is just how much Didak reminds me of the great man. The positioning in one-on-ones, the movement on the field, the long body and short legs, and the way running towards the boundary (away from goals) means that he's MORE likely to kick a goal, not less.
Thanks favourites, and thanks Daicos. |

Brilliant stuff Favs.
Hows the one he kicked from the boundry off the ground? Check out the goalies boat race. Unbelievable! And the one against Johnny Gastev up in Teddybear land, what a beauty. He kicked a swag that day too!
Other notable cameos:
Watch for big Wesmeisters trademark head down tumble roll as if he's been pole axed.
Paul Tuddenhams (unselfish), but lack of confidence hanball to a far worse positioned Daics where the cool magician slots it.
Banksy, no nonsense head down, through the lines tough stuff.
Aaaaah those were the days. Really pity anyone who never saw Daics live. _________________ Enjoy yourself. Its later than you think! |

Fantastic Favs!!! Still my favourite pie player.
Absolute Champion.
What I love is how many of those goals looked miraculous-Yet to do it that often showed they were more than flukes. _________________ WELLLINGHAM ROVES IT....AND KICKS THE GOAL!!!!
SWAN'S GOING TO KICK A GOAL. THEY'RE HOME YOU'D THINK I KNOW IT'S A LONG WAY TO GO BUT THEY'RE KILLING THEM NOW!! |

Thanks for that Those highlights were all from 90-91?
Yeah that effort against Johnny Gastev woulda been goal of the year, but I think Jakovich did that high speed scissor kick the next day. Now he was an arsey c* |

He and hes brother were both gay I think! They got on with eachother on the footy field one day when Alan "The Fraud" kicked a goal, quite disgusting really. _________________ PAUL MEDHURST'S #1 FAN

I was just about to post the same thing. In fact most of the goal umps had the look of quiet pleasure knowing that they had the best spot in the universe to see the very best goals of all time.

Pie to the bone and then some. The drive he gave us off HB was awesome, especially in 90. Heater = Banksy MII?

Dont forget the big Wes D4P !!!!! It was like watching one of the twin towers coming down. For such a big solid lug, he used to go down like a sack of spuds! 10 points for the tumble though. Would score highly at the Commonwealth games in the gymnastics dept. _________________ Enjoy yourself. Its later than you think! |
