I was sitting in the top deck of the Sourthern Stand in Q16-17 right on the wing. At the start of the last quarter a guy that was sitting probably 15 to 20 seats away in another bay, suffered what looked like a heart attack. The game had finished and the St.Johns ambulance were still trying to perform SPR. It was a full house at the top there and it was very congested people were in shock.

It was hard to keep focused on the game, but I had one look and I couldn't look anymore. It was something terrible and I don't know the state of the guy or whether he survived. I don't know which team he supported but I hope he survived and recovers. I also feel for the family and friends of the guy it was a bad loss for the pies but the pies can bounce back in two weeks time but when someone is in a life threatening situation like that there is more to life then footy.

He was probably a collingwood supporter after Robertson was paid that mark....i think i died a little.

Sorry Doska on a serious note, i do hope that he is ok. Puts things into perspective...footy is just a game

Yeah certainly puts things into perspective. Hope the person was OK and makes a full recovery.
Makes you feel like a goose when you abuse people all the way to the car after the game after hearing that. We can tend to carry on as if footy is life or death at times when we get angry over a game.

Puts things in perspective in a very stark and revealing way.

Very sad and I hope the guy is OK.

It was a very stressful game to watch.

I had a day like that at Ocean Grove swimming once. Great weather, great surf....and then a guy gets pulled out and has a heart attack. He then was taken away under a towel..didn't feel like swimming much after that.

As you said Doska you get passionate about the footy, but the sun still comes up tomorrow if you lose.

I hope the guy is ok.

I've heard that little ambulance wiz around the back of the ponsford stand a couple of times this year. I must remember to take my medication with me to the next game.

Yeah, it was in next bay across from me, but I was in row U and they were about B. Not sure what was going on other than something was seriously was wrong. Didn't seem to move the guy out during the game. Was around late in the third or early last Q. Suprised they didn't move him out before the rush at the end of the game.

Hope all is on the mend.

I always sit in the AFL members and on Monday for the first time I heard an ambulance siren. We all looked at each other and thought it was strange.

I hope the guy's ok.

On the plus side if you are to have a heart attack the MCG is about the best place in Melbourne bar a hospital of having it. Had the poor bloke been at home he would have to most likely wait from 15 to 30 minutes for paramedics to arrive.
