It seems that we are in all sorts with the injuries we have, but I dont think we are that bad of shape.

Lonie is back this week for Willy.

Lica is back this week for the pies.

Clement should be back for the swans, but it frustrates me that they keep putting test next to his name. He has missed 4 weeks so far, so just god dam say 5/6 week INJURY!

Presti is reported at having a bruised foot/stress factures/sore foot, so god know what to believe. SO I will take a guess and say that he has been playing injured for a few weeks & the plan was to get him to the melb game & have it off along with the break the week after. Two weeks was reported on the CFC website. So Sydney he should return, if not the week after. Wakes can surely cover him for 2 matches!

H Shaw may miss this week, but will be ok for Sydney if not Melbourne.

Bucks is just a bonus if he comes up unfortunatly.

So Clement/Bucks/Presti/H shaw all short term injuries except bucks. We are not that bad of shape.

Respect to egan/rusling/dawes/anthony. They have no impact on our team at this early stages of there careers.

All will be good once against for the Pies after Round 12...Split round is definitly going to work for us...With all our injuries a 1 or 2 weeks away, they should wait till round 13 to play...Getting the extra weeks rest will do all the injured players some good...I beleive we will do better in the second half of the season

Yeah, presti and bucks are the only worrying ones. If that really is a stress fracture...he's probably going to miss a few more than 4 weeks (2 games).

The only problem with our short-term injuries is that they have all hit at once. If Jimmy was back this week, losing presti wouldnt be a problem at all.

Problem will only really be for this week where it looks like Presti, Clement and Heater will all miss.

I'd say there is more to Jimmy's injury that is being let out. *g*

Considering he broke his foot in the pre-season (not sure whether it's the same one) and missed against Richmond with a calf (again, not sure which foot), there may be something to it.

Why the hell dont they tell us the truth? The club treats us like mushrooms - kept in the dark and fed shit

I am sure I read the Clement's injury was his achilles tendon. I think the club's line is that it was a calf injury. The question is why do they misinform us?

It is done to keep other clubs guessing, making it harder to plan against us. If it gives us an advantage i don't really care if they say 4 weeks or 4 years.

Every club does it, so how does any club get an advantage. It stuffs everything up from fantasy teams to betting. I reckon its childish. What other sports allow this to happen. not many.

Sorry Roddy, but if it makes it harder for our opposition to plan effectively and this wins us one extra game in a decade, then screw your fantasy football and punting.

Jimmy -Achillies -could be a week, could be a month
Presti -Probably a month to 6 weeks
Bux -pray he makes it back at some stage this year
Rusling -set to resume at Willy soon if I'm not mistaken
Ego -10 weeks or so
Dawes -might resume after the break
Anthony -Next Year

I hardly thiink presti will be out for 6 weeks or hope his not. If Presti & clement are out for over a month then that could mean bye bye top 4 spot!

Every dam year we cop key injuries makes me sick!

Have any of you guys had to manage sports injuries?

It's not a matter of being able to say it will take X number of weeks to get right. Particularly with anything soft tissue related, it really can be a week by week or day by day proposition where do you best to manage it and see how your body pulls up after pushing it.

im thinking of tipping against us this week...

we have lost not only our best defenders but a running player that gets tagged.

very big losses.

Agree mate, if we can gain some advantage, no matter how minor, I'm not too concerned about my dreamteam or tipping, couldn't give a stuff!
