Just heard up here that Stan Zamanek died peacefully in bed this morning........
I am aware that there were heaps of people that couldnt stand him,BUT at least he spoke what he thought and wasnt afraid to say what he thought................
Ladybird Johnson wife of the late LBJ also died this morning.....

Ill agree with u for once Peter...
Stan was a great broadcaster, and entertainer. Regardless if u didnt like him or not, he was bloody good at what he did, and for all the bravdo on the outside, he was always willing to offer a bloke a hand when the chips were down.
Yes, he did blast people, the bludgers of society, but if someone was seriouslly in trouble he would always help.
I remember often that someone who was having a hard trot would call up and have a chat, and Stan would help, providing they were fair dinkum.
We'll miss you Stan. Your a legend, and heaven will have a bloody good Radio show tonight! I can see him now commening on the running of the place!
RIP Chairman Stan.
