Post subject: M KINNEAR QUITS | |

Mark Kinnear has quit Collingwood. No reason was given. What a waste of a trade. Did he not want to come to Collingwood? Please post any info on why he quit before playing a game.

Hawking and Hazel are the only uncontracted players training with us.
Hawking is the ex Fitzroy and Sydney player.
If injury free worth the punt.
Kinnear what number was he anyway? |

This is horrible news. A Sydney supporting friend of mine told me that Mark Kinnear is an absolute gun. If it is true that he has left the club, I'm not going to be a happy chappy today. Poo. |

We must remember that we also did pick up Leon Davis out of the deal with Schuable. But I was told that Kinnear did walk out Sydney at some stage. |

Is it bad luck or utter stupidity. This sorta thing doesnt happen to West Coast, Adelaide or even Richmond.
If its true and he has quit, i reckon the AFL should investigate the matter. And if it finds they were aware that he was likely to retire and didnt tell us, then we should be compensated with one of their picks next year.
This has happened to us twice now and a club which has just received the wooden spoon can't afford for a new recruit to retire after just 2 months. |

He wanted to go to Carlton (Col Kinear's son)
He did not enter Victoria Park so why did we pick him? Maybe we wanted pick 34 so badly to get Leon Davis. I hope Davis proves he is more valuable than Schuable so we can rest over this one. |

As for Leon Davis, well we didn't know he'd be available at 34 and instead of Kinnear we could have got another pick around there as well.
And if thats true he wants to go to Carlton, then we should hold on to him and trade him next year. At least then we'd get some value for him. |

good one Kinnear, yeah why let us down mid- year when you can let us down right now.
He'd just better hope he doesn't run into me in a dark alley, cause if he does i'll give him an evil stare he wont soon forget. |
