We are an Average Side THIS SEASON

Well we have only beaten 1 Side in the top 8 and that is Geelong but we lost a lot of Close games to the other teams in the 8. We have beaten all the sides we have played in the bottom 8.

Accept for Geelong and West Coast game we have not done a Whole lot.

We are a 5-8 Side This year that probably be a Semi-finalist team.

Got some really good Youngster so we can only get better in coming season .

That is where I think we sit this year

I agree DTM we are a 5-8 side this year because we are inconsitent.

However if we do make the finals, any opposition will be shitting themselves

This year ain't a write off.....the youngsters will get another 22 pressure games of experience...a new backline will gel even more.

Fair enough Dave. Actually, when you look at last season, I reckon we've developed in some ways, but in others we're not as good. The players seem more mature in that (most of the time) we're winning the games we're supposed to win, and we've also been able to pound a few teams. One of our main problems is that the teams that we're fighting with for a top 4 spot seem to have the edge on us.

Don't bring out the razorblades yet though, people. In the last six weeks, we've won 4 (3 of them very convincingly) lost a close one against one of the best teams in the comp and dropped one that we shouldn't have. It's actually not such a bad formline, and if we can consider the Blues game an aberration (today's games certainly seem to give some credence to that), we're actually going ok at the moment.

I agree with Roddy's post. The only teams that we don't seem to be able to play competitively against are Hawthorn (we are far from the only team in that predicament), and Carlton, who probably won't even make the finals anyway. Everyone else is fair game... but then again, next two matches are very big. Need to win at least one, probably need to win both. Let's see how we go

we are a top four team that will finish in the lower reaches of the eight. we only need to get into the eight to give it a shake albeit taking the long way home.

Takes a bloody good side to match it with the Bulldogs with 6 of your starting 22 missing, and another 2 unable to run.

That is a sign of a good side, with spirit....and a side that is built for September action.


Along with Geelong, the Dogs no longer scare me. Nor do Sydney or Adelaide, St.Kilda, Kangaroos and to a lesser extent Brisbane. We need to prove our worth against Hawthorn now and Carlton in case they make it.


We just need to start getting our best players back on the park. Unfortunately Rocca and Fraser may be a bit off

I think it shows our depth that we ran with the Bulldogs a very in form side and also a side that's had the wood over us for a while, despite having so many key players missing from the side. I dare say if we had those players we may have won quite convincingly.

We have a return game against Hawthorn coming soon, hopefully by that stage after the break we'll be back in form and the boys will be fired up for some vengeance. If we take them down then then we're on the cakewalk.

Our young team is all about the future,our window of opportunity will be from 09-12,those years could be very fruitful for this side,and those are the years to grab a flag,perhaps two.No,i have not given up on this year,if we can finish top six,anything can happen in the finals.As i see it,both the dogs and hawks have peaked a bit early,and both can play no better,whereas we can play much better,with a full team.We showed a lot of guts and grit against the in form dogs,and we will give the swans hell in sydney,we do well up there.the swans are an ageing side,but still very good,but we can run them off their legs,i reckon.We have a lot to look forward too,with this exciting young team.
