Not ancient chinese pressure points but pressure on the players to perform or be dropped, its the perfect time to see who will stand up and get us top 4.

We may miss the 8, so it might be a good idea to shake it up and see what falls out. Might even restore some faith in the coach, because people think Mick has favorites, he can ice that this week.

Drop Maxwell and Johnson

Bring in Dawes and Mcarthey, swing Jack into the backline and structure up differently. We can set up for some drive and run, have two monster targets up forward.

Harry Wakes Jack
Heath Brown Clarke
Pendles Didak Thomas
Lockyer Cloke Racer
Medders Dawes Mcarthey
Wood Swan Obree

Wellingham Bryan Burns Goldsack

OR

Harry Wakes Goldsack
Heath Brown Clarke
Pendles Didak Thomas
Lockyer Cloke Racer
Medders Jack Mcarthey
Wood Swan Obree

Wellingham Bryan Burns Dawes

I like the above teams, they haave class on every line, plenty of speed, good disposal and enough structure to keep is attacking down the middle.

Things need a stir, the season can go either way, we should smash the bombers but we still need to find something during the game, maybe some added youth will get us some momentum.

I actually don't mind the look of that. Suspect it won't happen, though.

I WANT TO SEE THIS!!!!

don't agree with your reasoning that we may miss top 8 and should start experimenting,

but definately need to a) send a message that noone's position is safe and b) test some more kids! see what they're made of

the Dawes bandwagon's getting restless. its sayin from side to side, it cant carry any more load...its heading straight for us aaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh!!!

Yea Dawes is the answer to all our, so called problems. Yep a guy who has not even played a game of Footy for a year until this year, who is recovering form Knee surgery, from all reports is not turining the World on fire in the VFL.

Yep play him.

There is no apparent match up for Wakelin, and as we saw over the weekend, with no match up, he's rendered useless.
Llyod is playing up the ground more and more and with Lucas floating around the 50, you'd have to think that Brown and Harry will take them.
That said, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Brown dropped - if for a rest more than anything.

I think that ultimately JA will be a back man and if Brown is dropped, can see him swinging straight back. I believe that Dawes is due to play and should be given the opportunity. Play him from the square and give Travis the opportunity to get on his bike and get the footy up the ground.

For mine;

B: Clarke Brown Maxwell
HB: H.Shaw O'Brien Anthony
C: R.Shaw Didak Thomas
HF: Burns Cloke Davis
F: Medhurst Dawes Lockyer

Foll: Wood Swan Pendlebury

Inter; Bryan/Fraser, O'Bree, Wellingham, Iles

In: Davis, Dawes, Fraser (If Fit), Iles

Out: Goldsack, Wakelin, Bryan (If Fraser fit), Johnson

Johnson and Maxwell definately need to be pushed out to the 2nd's to find some touch... who to bring in?? I'd debut McCaffer up forward and bring in another mid for Maxwell... maybe Iles.

Anthony can go back if need be.

I'll get caned for this (except from the Chairman Smile ) but after watching Nathan Lonie do his thing in the last few weeks, it reminded me of what we are missing, a long, accurate, penetrating kick.

Lonie should be in the mix, if not this week, then Round 18 vs Hawthorn. His penetration could really stuff up the cluster.

Kickitome - I think you are right.

On the TV they interviewed Lica (at 3/4 time) and he said that MM asked them to trust thier skills and play up the corridor - but I did not see to much of that in the last quarter (also hard to do if you opponent has the ball most of the time).

I think Lonie may just give them the long disposal from the HB and wing and then they may stop going by the boundary line.

I would also like to see Dawes get a run -but I think MM will play Josh instead.

Dawes? You have to be joking the kid has struggled all year in the 2's bar kicking 3 goals against the mighty 'Box Hill Hawks'

Maybe in 2009 fellas.

Just a hunch. But MM could possibly be considering bringing in Stanley for Goldie or Maxwell.

At some point we have to bite the bullet and try Dawes.

And if he was played and didn't deliver in the way the masses think he should, those same posters would be calling for his sacking.
Just like they are doing with Ben Reid.
