Post subject: So now the AFL "Anti-Pie" plan will be revealed | |

It's no secret that a big part of the Collingwood game plan is rotations. Rotate, rotate, rotate.
It gives our team impact. Time and time again.
So now the AFL will reveal the cap that they will enforce on rotations.
Let's call it the "Collingwood" rule shall we?

Be interesting to see what our rotations have been like the last 6 weeks since they mooted that.

We'll have to change our gameplan anyway, this just forces a change. MM will come up with a way to get around it, and he'll do it better than anyone else.
Might go to our advantage

Well the rule is there for all teams so it won't effect us too much.

Incorrect.
We are the kings of rotation.
Cap it at a level that other teams already operate at and we are the one's to suffer.

Well all of the teams have to follow by the same rules don't they? yes we have the most rotations then anyone else in the AFL but we will still be a top 4 side.

member has a point.
The AFL changed the rush behind rule straight after the Hawks exploited it to perfection in 2008.
They want a makeshift level playing field. The rotations will be capped as we have used it to perfection.
Does it matter? Bah. We are better than that. The rest of the comp will be chasing hard to prevent us winning 2 or 3 more.
Bring it on. GO PIES. I love it.

Pretty sure the afl dropped the idea of capping rotAtions after the general public were so dead against it in that survey

They instead said they'll look at reducing players on the bench to 3 and adding an extra emergency benched player for injuries or something. So he'd be like an emergency whose pumped and ready to play all throughout the game I guess.
It will still end up having to play players for longer anyway, so they'll get what they want.

I actually think this will work to our advantage.
We have the best list, the best coaches and the best facilities, added to the best administration in the game.
Most sides struggle to win back to back as their gameplan is "figured out" after a flag, but not us, we will develop a new "tweak" to the way we play, and it will blow every one away.
