“COLLINGWOOD midfielder Tom Phillips is battling a mystery ailment a week out from the Magpies' home preliminary final. Late on Friday afternoon Phillips was spotted entering the Olympic Park Sports Medicine Centre.”

Oh c’mon now!

Would be interesting if he didn't get up – might even open the door for Wells.

^ You’d be wrong! I hope he’s okay and also obviously want our best side available. Just thinking about the quandaries it would raise for selection, as we don’t have a lot of ball-winning midfielders waiting in the wings.

Ailment doesn’t necessarily mean illness.

By saying “ailment” the ‘journo’ covers his arse (injury or sickness).

You'd think if was anything serious, he'd be straight to the quacks and then quarantined in bed?

More fake news?
