two underrated players who were awesome tonight. mckee rucked ALL NIGHT and took on both primus and french. although beaten for hitouts, he provided a contest and did some very nice defensive work too. how he didn't get pinged for holding the ball in the last quarter, I'd never know!

and roids was great after half time. OK, so he did two stupid things in the first half that resulted in two goals. but how many goals did peter "I'm a sook" burgoyne get in the second half?? a big fat ZERO! that tackle by johnno, when burgoyne tried to play on after marking in front of goals, was one of the turning points of the match!

wow - no buckley and still earned a week's rest. I'm speechless about this team

Cant' agree more - McKee did some great things, some not so great but he ALWAYS provided a contest, and that helped a lot!!

and Johnson, not his greatest game but he did well on a tough aponent after half time.

its the mark of a good player with mental strength to come back after a poor opening and perform the way johnno did in the 2nd half. shut burgoyne down brilliantly and repaid MM's faith. not sure if i've seen our backline work so hard and well since the days of kelly, christian, banks, ronny mckweon etc. jimmy, presti(how good is he?), clokey, johnno, freeza, wakes, burnsy etc etc etc.
