Sorry m8. Gotta stick up for dogs. When I write OMD in posts, it's my dogs I'm referring to. I find it strange indeed that people use 'dog' so derogatively. 'Dog of a movie', 'What a low act, he's a real dog' etc.

Dogs are loyal, delightfully instinctual, playful, hard working (cattle/sheep dogs etc.), friendly (unless trained otherwise by humans), funny, don't hold grudges, are not spiteful, don't take drugs or mistreat women, good company when you're lonely, don't get drunk and abusive, look after each other, chase cats (lol), great parents, devoted (eg. guide dogs) - I could go on and on.

The only time I don't like dogs is when they wear red, white and blue jumpers.

I agree 100% Donny. Its bizarre how dog can be used in a bad way at all. I love dogs better than most ppl

ablett was a great player, one of the best I've ever seen. I don't know if one can separate his off the field actions to his onfield feats though. IMO I hope he gets charged by the police following his "confession". $1500 is really a slap in the face for the dead girl's family. one shouldn't be able to hide behind fame or religion.

Ablett will now NEVER be admitted to the AFL hall of fame.
Thats a shame, but such an off-field indescresion cannot be overlooked.
Ablett has been a "god" to so many Geelong fans, and the football public in general have marvelled at what he could do on a footy field, but to have contributed to the death of a human being has condemmend him to the outer of future football functions.
As I say, a shame.
