I heard on a radio post match interview with Nick Maxwell that he was OK, though I guess we need to wait and see how he pulls up.

Yeah given the weeks rest and sounds like not a very bad ankle, should be fine in 2 weeks. If not definitley by GF but might be a bit rusty by then.

According to medical staff -

"Lateral rolled ankle" - no ligament damage at all

Will be ok for prem. final.

Also on Game Day and The Sunday Footy Show he seems like he'll be fine to go in the Prelim.

Pretty much impossible to say at this stage. The club will obviously play it down. So, we'll just have to wait and see.

On radio after the game Maxwell said he wasn't on crutches nor did he have an ice pack on his foot.

Sounds promising.

I'd really like him back for the prelim, but I'm not optimistic, and club med reports do nothing for me. I remember Millane having a "sprained wrist" for the last four weeks of the 1990 finals.

Don't get me wrong here - I don't think Beefy (misprint in the paper a couple o years ago listed him as "Wellington") is soft at all.
But..........
.......did anyone else see the moment that led to him rolling his ankle the same as me??

My instant reaction at the game was that I thought he sh1t himself, as he didn't know if there was any oncoming traffic or not. Seeing it replayed on the news today confirmed this to me.
The slight moment of hesitation caused him to break stride & land awkwardly.

Not a soft player IMO, but not his finest moment there for Beefy.....
