To all those people in canberra devastated by the bushfires our thoughts are indeed with you all.

It has been terrible watching the news and seeing the devastation up there. Our thoughts and prayers go to all involved.

Well I have never seen anything like it in my life, fire balls flying overhead, and simple words cannot describe the heat and the smoke. My house is OK, some fences gone and the yard is burnt a bit. We lost our stables and the horses were either killed in the fire or put down yesterday by the police. I'm not real good today, still in shock I think. Spare a good thought for those of us in Canberra, we need it.

It's so sad to hear you lost your horses George - best wishes to you and your family, and to all those affected by the terrible fires in and around Canberra. It seems to be a terrible bush fire season right across the country unfortunately - here's hoping for a nice steady downpour of rain for all of us.
