I read with interest on the AFL website that %69 of Collingwood supporters believe we should trade Brad Dick

Thinking about it, it may be a good call especially with Fasalo, Blair & even Ugle in time having no problems with taking care of that spot and we need to learn from the issues we had with Rusling (who I rated highly BTW)

We also just traded for Jamie Elliot similar type

I expect backlash from irrational supporters who dont understand list management but always respect the passion

Whoo, Whoo, Whoo myou know it!

Does he have any value? Irrational to think anyone would give anything up for him when they would want him to do a pre-season trial prior to the pre-season draft. Too many injuries.

If we want to make room on the list I reckon it would be a case of delisting personally unless Sheeds wants him. Really we would be lucky to get a 5th rounder...

If anything can get Tannin to come out of the cave he's been hiding in this thread will be it.

Personally I don't hold out much hope that the body of Brad Dick will ever allow him to fulfil the talent he possesses.

It's sad but if he decided to retire or the club delisted him I would understand and accept the decision.

This is why I expect we'll hold onto him. He has plently of potential but very little value. Well worth holding onto for another season.

Funny.

I spoke to him after the Copeland last Friday night and he seemed very keen to remain a Magpie and was feeling 'very good' in the body- to quote him directly.

If there is a chance that this guy might come good, we are mad if we dont hold onto him...

I hope he comes good, but he's got a way to go. The couple of times I saw him in the VFL late in the season he was very soft and outside. He wouldn't tackle and seemed self conscious about getting hit or tackled himself.

That's not how I remember him in the AFL games.

We have a lot of blokes now queuing up for his role and there's only so long we can keep a spot on the list for someone who spends the whole season injured and/or in rehab.

It a real shame because the kid has talent in spades and is very, very quick.

They say "billy" Elliot is very quick too without the bones made of chalk...

I would not be surprised to see some John Bobbit action here...

Agree, that's what I really meant to say. Highly talented, injury prone, no trade value, we are the only club who knows his real physical state and should be able to make a good decision. I would imagine we will keep him and give it one more year.

No chance of a trade. Strong chance of retiring.

But if we wanna keep certain players,he may find the backdoor.

Dick is like Rusling or Lee Walker. Players that you hang on to if there is a ghost of a chance that they might get fit because you have seen what they can do on the rare occasions that they have been fit.
