thought he got caught badly out of position a few times. Not sure he will crack our best 22 once the cream returns.

Not a bad effort for first game in 2 1/2 years. Wasnt his best game but he was not alone.

We need to give him more than 1 game before we decide his fate but it's fair to say like a far few others needs to improve.

Looked slow at times and I'm still concerned when he's lured back deep into defence.

His lack of ability as a one on one defender was exposed in his first stint with the club and it was a tactic opposition clubs used often.

Hopefully with age he's improved in this area.

His first quarter was ok.

Our defence was leaking all over the place with 0 leadership & with most of our taller options being "carved", our smaller/mediums were chasing bodies for most of the match.

Clarke had some very silky passages, especially earlier in the match. I might potentially look at employing him further upfield where he may conceivably deliver far more reliably than certain others.

In 2009 I stated that we would not win a Premiership with Clarke in our best 22.
I have not changed my opinion.

I'd say he still has "touch" but needs to remember how to find the ball...

... got heaps of upside, has young Marty

Blame the 133 game veteran Harry O who provided ZERO leadership. Clarke's first game back for two years was just fine.

Harry usually gets off easy with the fans. Played like a first gamer last night. Like someone else said he is very frustrating to watch. Mayb we should try him somewhere further up the ground. It almost seems like he panics every time he gets the pill.

further up the ground ... give him the space he needs by slotting him in the car park.

i thought marty was ok. clearly the intensity and pace was a step up from the nab cup and you could see he was found out every now and then.

Clarke hasn't played a game in two years. Perhaps give him a few weeks before jumping the gun.

Personally, I thought he played alright.
