Port are vastly improved this year so this won't be as easy as everyone may think.
Having said that I reckon this is the best test of the players to get up after a week of 'outside' distractions.

Can the side make it 4/4 failures, after a 130 point win last year expectations would be high of another smashing, but then again that was an extremely different Collingwood side... |

This game is big for both clubs. Port are a hell of a lot better than last year and they would love to beat us especially with all of the negativity about the Pies going round the traps. For us we need to bounce back and bounce back hard. Not only to prove we are better than the last few rounds but to prove we are still united both from a supporters perspective and from a club perspective.
Cmmorrrnn Pies.
Smash em.

I'll be disappointed if we don't smash Port. I hope Jolly is rested, so that he's fresh for ANZAC day.

I predict after all the drama of this week we will beat PP by 10-13 goals. The problem is we cannot beat anyone in the top 4 and will struggle to beat others in the top 8. The joke of this competition is the bottom 8 is a joke and we can beat all these. That is the way the season will map out. Snoozing time. How dull. _________________ I love this club and I hold anyone in contempt who does not think it is worth fighting for. |

Port will feel they're a chance after the week we've had but they'll be wrong.
Recent events will only galvanise our playing group.

Just win! I really don't care by how much. Quite a few youngsters are going to have a chance to prove themselves this weekend, and we have to keep fresh enough for Anzac day to smash the Bombturds. _________________ McRae for Governor-General! |
