FFS Collingwood, just give him the $80 million over 40 years and be done with it. |

I never post rumours and it is possible this guy is full of shit about what Jason said (although I know for a fact that he is friends with J Cloke). |
Unrestricted free agency rules do not allow Travis to Carlton to be a done deal at this time of the season. October 1 is when the free agency wheeling and dealing starts.
If the above is true Carlton would cop a fine of $100,000, (not that that would worry them the way they're splashing money around at the moment). |
By 'done deal' I mean both parties agree to terms with a wink, they can't make it official until the end of the season obviously and they already have Collingwoods final offer so they know we won't be able to match it.
Never underestimate how shady Carlton are. Remember they "wernt talking to Malthouse until a few weeks ago" too. |

The final offer is the final offer, until the next final offer.
We can still match any offer from the Scum, even if it means losing a Goldsack. Scum players reportedly aren't too keen to take a pay cut to fit in a mercenary.
Suspect we will cave on the 5 th year by making the incentive part easier to achieve and hence saving face that it is not a backdown. |

It would seem that Cam and Jason are at odds with each other then. I believe nothing anymore _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood. |

Mate, I STRONGLY suggest you change your Avartar ASAP, put a Collingwood person on now, NOT a lying old rodent grinning at us _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Spot on. That's what we do, as in the 10th year, the salary cap will be something like $35m, so a $2m spend on a player not on the list will be nuffink. By the 40th year, the cap will be $1.4b, so a $2m spend will be a rounding error. _________________ Fighting against the objectification of woman. |

Just the Scum supporters clutching at straws.
Given that they have not won a flag, let alone played in a GF this century, not surprised that they are getting desperate. |

Looks like Tanking carlton have given up on getting Cloke. The flog who said that he met with them on Friday know saying (him or his representatitives met with the powers that be) and that he is 99% certain that he will now stay as the Pies have come to the party. |

Won't do anything until the season ends, I can't see them going back on that now. |

Agree with this.
Just another thing re Cloke, he will be eligible for the veterans list in 2 years as he will have been at the club for 10 years, so $112,000 of his wage will be outside of the salary cap. |
