Just because some tool on a Carlton forum says something it doesn't make it true. Things like that are said to suck us in or because the Carlton forum poster is a deluded fool. There is no way they could ever afford that lot. Nor would they be that stupid to try to rort the system to that degree either to get them. They'd be busted in a flash. Other teams, not just Collingwood, wouldn't stand for such obvious cap rorting.
And Cloking Device - Yes you are routinely paranoid so there was probably nothing in what you saw.

You must have been watching a different show. I found Bucks answer to be very direct and strong. Bucks holds all the power here. Not Carlton. He knows that it comes down to the fifth year. He also now realises, that after seeing the last two weeks he will have to not offer contracts to at least two other Collingwood players, because Cloke will be staying a Pie.
Wellingham is as good as gone, and hopefully we can do something with either Freo or the Weagles to work out a suitable trade. Goldy is coming off his best season and therefore is prime trade bait. A club like Melbourne or even the Scum would look at him.
Cloke is going nowhere.

No same one, as he started answering the intial question his eyes dropped and went to the side.. could have just been a little uncomfortable because he knows everyone will be hanging off every word and misconstruing it for their own ends.. but it is a tell

If he was to leave, which I am still not sure about, but if he did I'd almost bet on Fremantle for close to the same reasons mentioned.
I'd almost bet that Carltons "interest" in Cloke is more to stir the pot, and see if Collingwood will make a stupid offer, and lose a player that they could swoop on. |
