| Post subject: MCC Ushers Instructions |  |

My 3 kids and father were in M36 Row U seats 1-5 when an MCC usher (Ted, badge # 2996) came down about 45 minutes before the game. In a largely Collingwood section, he spoke to 2 separate West Coast pairs of supporters, and told them both "if there is any swearing, or any poor behaviour from them I am up the top, come and report it". The "them" clearly being Collingwood supporters. When I questioned him on this, as other Collingwood supporters did around me, he said that they always do this, particularly when there is an interstate team and Collingwood!! I have never heard such discrimination at the footy.
Any ideas on how I can publicise this? I will certainly be contacting the MCC and the club to understand what specific instructions are given before every game to warn opposition supporters about us. This deserves to be made a major issue. |

going on some of the behaviour in the afl members there really are some tortured souls out there.

Ted, badge # 2996 , should keep an eye on a few of his co workers and see what they're upto , but then maybe he would have decide and think "do I dob them in , well do I ?" "Or do I still want shifts here , guess I'll turn a blind eye to that"
Ted needs to look a little harder.

In the past there has been an issue of over scrutiny of collingwood supporters.
I thought this year this was less obvious at MCG games as in previous years.
I make the choice to pay more money so my son and I don't have to put up with harassment from opposition fans.
Before 2008 we often sat in 'mixed' areas and we routinely saw over scrutiny of collingwood fans by officials, particularly on Level 3 of the Ponny. We had some 'trouble' with opposition fans on a couple of occasions and personally saw the potential for trouble, although nothing really serious happened.
But the scrutiny by MCC staff was a real issue for a while in my opinion and I thought it had actually improved but I guess as I don't sit in the 'mixed' areas I couldn't really comment except to say we haven't seen these kinds of posts for a while. |

Mac, should have pulled Ted the Tool aside and immediately asked him who issued him with this instruction, got a name and perhaps a contact number, thanked him for his cooperation in the matter, and advised that this PC hero would be receiving a phone call from you first thing monday morning, 9am sharp.
It's the only way we will reclaim our game from the PC muppet circus.
Don't accept ineptitude from anybody in this world.

That's so true Dave. I've always wondered why they do that. It's pointless and almost idiotic to do so if nothing is going on.
