Tom spent a week with the club through the AFL-AIS program and his time is up according to twitter:

The end of an amazing week at @Collingwood_FC, couldn't have asked for anything more, except that they let me stay a bit longer !

I hear he is catching the attention of recruiters and is a likely first round selection, he could go as early as pick 5.

Probably higher than 5. So probably no chance to fall to us, but stranger things have happened.

A bit about him from a Herald Sun article by Conor Ryan

An athletic key forward from the Norwood Football Club, Boyd has all the tools to have a massive impact on the game.

He's 198cm, 96kg, and leads the TAC Cup goal-kicking table, with 20 majors after six rounds.

And, he's just 16 years old.

Boyd captained the under-16 Vic Metro team last year and looks to be following a similar pathway to another big Ranges forward, last year's No.1 draft pick Jonathon Patton.

Parkin refused to be drawn on comparisons between the two.

Instead he praised Boyd for his leadership qualities.

"Out on the ground, he wills blokes to come along with him," he said.

"We haven't won a game but, in terms of the enthusiasm and enjoyment factor, it's probably the best the club has been all year."

"Part of the reason is because of the strength of people like Tom and Brandon."

So that'd be the mystery tall in the training photos posted the other day. Couple of him standing next to Edwards.

We have no rights to him and more then likely not have no chance at securing him unless he goes backwards this season.

Stay longer? How does the next 16 years sound Tommy boi?

Would love to get him, but seems unlikely....unless things really turn pear shaped this year!
