I saw him and his wife when I went to a specialist a few months ago in Malvern. Still had the beret, The Sun was a good read then with Tom Prior, Lou, Keith and of course Jeff Hook. _________________ Annoying opposition supporters since 1967. |

Always used to read APITS when I could liberate the paper from Dad's stash. Funny bloke. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

He was compulsory morning reading as I grew up. A very engaging and entertaining writer. A real Melbourne identity at the time with a sharp eye for what was the essence of Melbourne.
A huge advocate of cycling and cycling lanes.
His hilarious AFL (Anti Football League) awards. An annual burning of a square shaped football in the then City Square around Grand Final time and an annual medal to the person who did the "least for football" - a wonderfully funny piss take on how footy obsessed we all are. |
