Gone nice and early John Smile

Pies by 19 I reckon - I'm re-revising my forecast back to near the original due to the weather forecast!

McCaffer will shut out Cotchin, put Fasalo on Dustin Martin (more for Fas' learning than to stop Dusty but I reckon it'll work) and our midfield will be too strong.

I'm tipping 20 frees to Cloke for a great return of 5:2 and 13 OOF (he IS out of form, remember!) and Swannie to get 30 touches up til three quarter time and then tire, and spend the rest of the game resting in the forward pocket using Witts as a wind break Smile

Damn gotta wait even longer to see JT back in action.

I bet he has a massive impact when he does get on.

If I remember rightly early last year he had 13 or 14 possessions and 5 tackles in a quarter and five minutes after wearing the green vest till nearly three quarter time

Looking forward to this one!

The inclusion of Josh Thomas is an excellent one. It's just a pity that he'll be starting as the sub but I can kind of see Buckley's logic in doing so as he would rather ease the kid into the side rather than throw him into the deep end straight away. Personally, I would have made Fasolo the sub as he provides us with that x-factor especially in the forward line.

I'm not too fond of the inclusion of Witts due to the wet weather we're experiencing at the moment but I do agree that we need another tall to support Grundy and free up Cloke in the forward line. Witts could be the man to fill that void and support these two players especially, but Quinten Lynch would be a little disappointed that he wasn't selected in the side instead of Witts though.

I think Richmond's biggest weaknesses can be seen in several areas of the ground. Firstly their midfield seems to crumble when they're put under extreme pressure from their opponents and I agree with An_Inkling's observations about the fact that the Tigers lack pace. This will work in our favour, but it'll only work if we tackle our hearts out tonight. Richmond's forward line isn't strong especially if Riewoldt isn't performing and Richmond's defence will struggle with Cloke and Witts stretching them tonight. As long as the rain holds off, I expect Cloke to have a field day on his 200th game especially with Rance out of the side even though he got dominated by Cloke last year as well.

Overall this is a very important game for the side. We really need to steady our season and be 2-2 after tonight. The next two weeks won't be easy either with North Melbourne and Essendon coming up after tonight so this is a big game for us and Richmond as well.

I must say I'm surprised that a lot of people are backing us so I'm a little worried that this may spur the Tigers on but I'm sure Bucks has reiterated the idea that we need to play a strong game tonight to win this one. It won't be handed to us on a platter.

I'll be an optimist tonight and tip us to win by 27 points!

GO PIES! Very Happy

A couple of damning stats.

We are ranked 16th for disposal efficiency and we are -9 for inside 50's from last season. 46(12th) compared to 55(3rd) in 2013.

The flip side is we have been competitive in 2 out of 3 game and could have been on 2 wins.

Hopefully a big spike in these areas from tonight.

Don't forget we've played 3 very good sides. when we play three average sides out stats will look much better!

Excellent points. All the sides we've played so far finished in the top 4 so it hasn't been an easy draw for us.

Witts is an interesting in this week but I reckon that frees up Grundy to rest up forward a fair bit
