If I had a feminine side, I'd never stop touching it.

Umm ....

Too much information?

Is that guys as in males or guys as in you guys ?- either way I am lead to believe that my lack of interest in shoes is a deficiency associated with a lack of a feminine side - so alas I must answer in the negative .

OK, I have around 40 females who work for me across 4 different areas. The 4 bosses of those areas are all female, 2 of them consistently ask me how I stay sane. It's funny because they actually think I'm sane. But regardless, I'm not sure what the question means.

I raised 2 kids as a single parent and was considered by the mothers in the street as an honourary mother on mothers day.

I'm a good cook, lousy at housework, have the emotional range of a teaspoon except when it comes to a small minority of movies (usually Disney) when I will tear up at situations that I really shouldn't.

I have mood swings but I can't predict them on a 28 day calender.

I can listen to someone pour their heart out to me, nod at all the appropriate places, say platitudes that make them feel better, and have no idea 30 minutes later what they told me because I didn't listen and don't care. But they think I'm brilliant and feel so much better for the support.

What I don't do is bitchyness.

So, am I in touch with my feminine side? NFI. I don't know what side I'm in touch with. What will get me laid?

^ One of the great posts. Smile

I am the family peacemaker, 'coz they all tell me all about what Charlie said about Our Edith and I give them my full attention. What's more, I never, ever repeat anything personal that's been said to me. Same reason as you, Stui: I could probably repeat the whole thing 3 minutes later while it's still in the "instant replay" part of memory, but I have zero interest in the sort of interpersonal stuff women (and quite a few men) thrive on, don't think about it afterwards, and anything you don't think at all about doesn't get stored in your long-term memory. Well it doesn't in mine. So the next day, it's gone. Complete blank. All I can remember is that Julie had a grumble about something or other. Or maybe it was Cathy. Probably one of them.

I am perfectly capable spending a whole evening talking with a distant family member over dinner and then, on meeting them six months later, asking someone to introduce us. Hell, I've done just that. Woops!

HAL recommends: Turkeyburges. How do you like being on meeting them six months asking someone to introduce us ?

I think soin fact, I think I'm probably more in touch with my 'feminine' side than my 'masculine' side. I'm pretty sensitive, a little more emotional than most and not really interested in stereotypically 'male' things like violent movies and fixing cars. But I do enjoy competitive sport and enjoy the feeling when I fix the chest of drawers for the fourth time in six months.

I guess I'm pretty comfortable with both aspects of my personality. Smile
