Hi all I heard a report Reid played a full game and kicked 2 goals. Can anyone give me some further details if this is correct.
Much appreciated.

Played maybe 60% game time, or thereabouts. Was rotated 2 or 3 times a quarter and was 'subbed out' halfway through the last (which was pre-planned),

Took a couple of very nice marks (including a one-hander, in the wet if you don't mind), covered a fair bit of territory and, yes, kicked the two goals.

From what Tapping said after the game, Reid will play at least another game in the VFL before being in contention for the seniors...

No rush with this lad. Even three more games in the seconds would be ok. Two, if he pulls up really well.

Thanks Bat for the info. Sounds like a solid come back. Heard a report he run freely and showed no limp or ability to stretch out.
Agree he will need at least 1 more in the magoo's hopefully he gets through unscathed and can be considered for the hawks.

Sounded like a very solid and gutsy win from all reports. Broomhead can't be too far away from selection, the boy excites me and Reid, well, we all know how good his inclusion will be after another run or two.

We definitely look to be targeting the Hawthorn game. Would be massive for our season if we could win that, and Reid would be a huge in.

As Buckley's always stated, we'll go with one ruck with White as backup when Reid is back in. Looks like we'll use the next two weeks to prepare for that with Grundy missing on Monday. I'm expecting we'll play one ruck again versus the Dogs and continuing against the Hawks when hopefully Reid is back.

It's going to be interesting to see which of our rucks gets a gig against the Hawks. Big chance for Witts to press his case against the Demons.

^^ you can justify playing one ruckman against the doggies because they've essentially only got Minson, worried about going up against the Dees who'll have Jamar and Gawn with only one recognized ruckman and no key forward backup such as you'll have when Reid returns.

He'll play against the Hawks if he gets through next week IMO.

So, is Grundy injured or not 1st choice?

I used to be undecided, but now I'm not so sure.

Being managed I reckon. It's a long season for a kid to play 1st ruck.

Could be either I feel, I think Wittsy has been the better player recently, particularly around the ground and getting forward and pinching a goal or two. The Witts / White combo worked well last time out and even seemed to help White's game.

Grundy is still a huge talent but needs to be doing a bit more around the ground I believe.

So it could be fitness management or it could be tacit non selection.

I've got no doubt he's being managed and rightly so. Depending on how it's all travelling it wouldn't surprise if they it did again one or two out from finals.
