| We must promote him asap. His form in the VFL is exceptional and he would give us that added burst of pace and goal sense we so desperately need. Looks like we won't be seeing Lynch any time soon and I could see Martin easily take the spot of one of our more senior players. |

I think it has to be 8 weeks plus.
Lynch is expected to be out for about 5 weeks. |

yep, in martin, out Sidebottom, who needs to get his act together for at least one week, or blair can go, either one, but bring Martin in, now. !!

I wrote Thursday night that we should promote Martin for Lynch, and drop Blair to bring in Martin.
Martin is a gun, ball magnet, and great kick for goal. |

No. He has not played enough games in the VFL to prove himself beyond doubt. In any case the VFL is like the Little League. It is not the same standard so you cannot judge a player there as a basis for senior selection. I am a traditionalist. I still want our coach to have played for our club . I hate the idea of these refugees from other clubs coming and coaching our team. Thankfully Bucks is a Magpie from the playing ranks. I also am sick of Life Memberships being handed out without a minimum 25 years active service. So you wanting to elevate players from the VFL should not be allowed regardless of how good they are unless they have played 3 years there.
