| Post subject: Collingwood's 30,000th AFL/VFL goal |  |

Fox tonight said Collingwood becomes the first club to kick 30,000 AFL/VFL history.
The goal was kicked by Dayne Beams at the Coventry end.
Does anyone else see the irony in this lol
I'm waiting for some one to add a comment about it could have been 3 yrs ago if Trav could kick straight. |

Well to help everyone is behind us and who cares how many lol
I just thought it was a interesting stat I wondered at the time who would have had such a dull life to actually assemble all these stats. |

cometti was referring to st kilda being 5800 goals behind.
Carlton are second on all time list of goals. we are 769 goals ahead of them but we have played an additional 38 games.
Collingwood 30007 Ave 12.35 goals per game
Carlton 29238 Ave 12.22 goals per game
finally we can say we are beating the blues on something as they seem to rub our faces in the fact they have beaten us more times. we are closing gap though , they are only 6 wins ahead of us now. the way blues are going we should overtake them in 2017. what a year that will be!!!

We have 1481 wins in total compared to 1401 for them. We have played 38 more games than them, but still have a better overall win %. |

Interestingly
All of the original VFL teams have scored more behinds than goals. So our perceived inaccuracy in front of goal is actually more of a perception than reality.
