Just a thought...but with battles for spots on the senior list as hot as it is. And with talent such a Martin and Frost battling to get or indeed stay on the senior list. Why is Collingwood not looking to tap a player like Lynch on the shoulder and perhaps suggesting it is time to 'call it a day' on his career. Or at very least put him to the long term injury list? But honestly, he had a great career....he gave it a shot at the Pies....but it has not worked....and his time would be better spent as say a ruck/forward coach. Thoughts? |

We can't just "put someone" on the LTI list, you need a doctor to ok it, and doctors are funny about things like ethics, some doctors anyway. _________________ Defender...........

Is it possible we're being a little premature in writing him off? Quinten played 18 of a possible 23 games last year at AFL level; his injury aside, can we really be certain that he's been left behind? If one of our key forwards or ruckmen went down late in the season, we might not have many other players to turn to. _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

We might still need Q-Stick at some point. We aren't travelling too well with injuries and if White and one of our primary ruck-men went down at the same time we'd need Q to come in and play a role. |

Agreed Lynch could still be important for depth. The Q has played in finals if needed! _________________ " Ohhh Banksy and out comes the Note Book".

This is why!
Plus we have NO tall timber depth in the VFL. That cupboard is completely bare now. If we lose another tall player, we will be replacing him with a small.
Ohh..... Reid comes back this week in the VFL apparently. So we may have an underdone tall available. But won't be ready for 2-3 weeks you'd think. |

Ever heard of the word "contingency"?
As I said, ATM, if we lose a tall in the AFL side, we have no tall replacement. None.
That still could be the situation in 5-6 weeks when Q comes back. He is our contingency plan. He can also chip in for a game or two against weaker opposition late in the year to rest up our Talls' niggles before finals.
Doubt Darcy can help us with any of that for this year. In fact he can't. You can claim he is finished, but he still has a role to play if he can get back on the track.
So I disagree with your suggestion DTM. |

Plus, put yourself in his shoes. I'm sure he thinks he still has much to offer and hasn't given up hope nor has his manager who'd be demanding a payout of his contract. Agreed he's unlikely to ever figure in our best 22 again but could be a handy backup if required. _________________ 'Collingwood are the Bradmans of Football'

Under what rule is Darcy Moore eligible to play seniors this year if Cloke and/or White are out injured? |
