Just wanted to write about my appreciation for a bloke who is quickly becoming my favourite player in Jack Frost. This man is a gun. Watched him very closely on Monday and his closing speed and spoils were almost Presti like. He then goes on with it and his tackles are ferocious and they stick. Yet another gem we have unearthed so hats off again to our talent scouts and recruiters. May he continue to not only match, but beat the best.

I was impressed with him the rare times he played last year but I was totally sold when he beat Franklin in round 2 this year.

How often has Franklin lowered his colours against us over the last half dozen years? Maybe once or twice when Tarrant negated him but Frosty did even better than Taz in my opinion.

The kid is fast, has a unique ability to make successful and legal spoils, is very disciplined, aggressive at the contest and at the ball, clearly detests forwards and hates being beaten.

All the attributes you want in a hard nosed backman to hold down the key defensive spot for the next decade.

I love him.

seeing that he is only a rookie, we had better make him a real player then hey.

btw, is it automatic that we get him? Does he go into the draft if he wants more money that we offer?

He's ours mate, we just have to use a late National draft pick on him, no one else can pinch him.

I highly doubt we'll struggle to come to terms.

I'm a fan of Frost. Prior to his 1 week suspension Dawes had been getting some reasonable numbers for Melbourne. Frost shut him down like slamming the front door on a jehovas witness.

Quick, Strong, Agile, great spoiler and with a nasty streak that comes with having to live with parents sick sense of humour. I likey the Albino.

Hello forwards, let me introduce you to Frosty. Not your average snowman.

Said to my dad "that guy will play 200 games for us" during his first nab cup game last year. Dad didn't want a bar of it. I've reminded him a few times this year Smile

This bloke is seriously becoming a top footballer and is starting to own the backline. Hard worker who never gives up. Kicked Dawes' arse on Monday and has owned other opponents during the year too. He'spProof that you don't need to be a top 10 draft pick to be a great player. He was pick 42 in the rookie draft of 2013 then did time in the vfl and is now making the most of his opportunity in the seniors - which he thoroughly deserves. Took a while to get there, but then again, not everyone is a Pendlebury or has the gifted talents to make an immediate impact. Our recruiting team must be close to the best in the business.

His athleticism is great but I had my doubts with his disposal and decision making (still do). But he's less likely to take men on now and try and run and carry and more dour in spoiling his opponent.

Man's got to know his (present) limitations.

Has really taken on the role with aplomb. Hat's off to him for the season he has had so far.

I love the way he stays so close to the body of his opponent and leans and reaches over to get the fist in like an octopus. As a forward is must be like being wrapped in glad wrap. He does all this without the Lonergan bear hug or doing anything that is illegal or should be illegal. He seems to have fantastic concentration and a manic desire to not let his opponent have any separation. A great new addition to our well drafted back line which pretty much reads:
Rookie Rookie Rookie
Rookie Rookie Pick 65

A really strong defender... very impressive this year - a lot better than Presti's first few years - wow did he ever get walloped in the early days!

Frost needs a KP back like Keefe who is more creative due to his offensive limitations- that is why I think we are better balanced without Brown who also has limited offensive skills. For me Brown is the back-up for Frost now due to the greater speed and agility Frost has and Reid/Goldy are the swingmen if required down back.

He's got long arms, fast closing speed and plays his opponent close.
Better yet he cost us only 1 rookie pick.
Well done recruiters.

Wouldn't mind seeing him go forward as our defensive forward like Goldy.
