| I just turned over to 7 to hear that,and couldn't believe it.They said it's not calf related,so hopefully it's not too serious.Still not good news.... |

Dead we can handle and he'll be reanimated in 2 weeks.

This year's getting to the write off stage for Ben I'm afraid.
Another 2-3 weeks (which knowing Collingwood will be closer to 5-6) means he gets back by round 16-17. Then he'll need another 2-3 in the reserves to find touch and fitness, so that'll see him to probably round 20-21 when he's ready to play seniors again.
That's getting a trifle late in the game to rejig your whole forward structure to accommodate a bloke who hasn't played a game all year, that's assuming he doesn't injure himself. |

Wouldn't surprise me if Ben was training like a mad man trying to get the nod for this week, let's hope it's only 3 weeks Max.

Heard that he trained well, left the track early, but came back out to run a lap for charity with the rest of the playing group. Until anything official is announced I say Mark Stevens is full of shit and just hoping that a long shot assumption of his turns out to be true.
I mean FFS, he's predicting a 2-3 week injury but he doesn't even know wtf it is! |

He said it wasn't a calf so he's obviously heard something, fingers crossed though.

My only thought as a frequent track-watcher is that he has left the track early for whatever reason ( toilet break, strapping, weights session, consult with clairvoyant) and Stevens has latched onto it as 'evidence' of an injury.
See if Reidy plays at Sandy tomorrow.

He went on national television with it, I'd be very surprised if there was nothing in it, as disgusting as the journos are they do have their sources.
