What I mean is that Reid’s 4 year contract has a Possible downside to it.

His Best/Fit is Awesome and AA Calibre and could help us go along way to winning the Flag.

But

When is Injured and he has had history of getting Injured then he is just sitting on the Injured List eating up our Salary Cap and maybe spot on the List.

Sorry if this sounds a Tad Negative but with his Injury History there is some Risk with the 4 year Deal but the Upside is Amazing.

How I see it as we give him the 4 Year Deal, So no one else can sign him to there List and If we gets on the Ground he can be Dominate.

You Agree and Your Thoughts?

Any contract has a downside to it, he's an AA defender and since then has increased his worth by being a very capable KF, I'm more than happy we have him contracted long term.

I know how you love the draft Dave, let's say Reid quit Collingwood and nominated for the ND, he would go no1, no ifs or buts.

You state that he has a history of injuries can you please exactly explain how you arrive at that conclusion and how many games he has missed in the last 4/5 years????

Yep don't see the point of the thread.

Reid has no history of injury. This year he's suffered a similar injury to Beams last year, should we consider not re-signing him too? Grundy's back problems may be more of a concern, major risk in signing him to a long term deal, wasn't it?

Any player can get injured at any time, so there is risk in any contract. That doesn't mean you don't sign the best players on your list when you have the chance.
