http://westperthfc.com.au/latest-news/andrew-krakouer-retires-from-wafl-football/

Makes me sad, he had more talent in his little finger than most of the small fwds going around, he served us well, just imagine what he would have achieved without the unpleasantness.

It's funny, he reminded of Daics a bit, not by how he moved but the way he always thought 2 steps ahead, hell of a player, guys like him don't come along to often.

Awesome tribute.

A great player who stood up for us in a Grand Final when he had the chance. A shining example, too, of what can be achieved, despite adversity. I miss his exciting play and wish him every success for the future.

I'm sad that he didn't get to Collingwood sooner.

Loved the Krak! Sad to see that he's now calling it a day. I hope that he goes on to bigger and better things. So much talent in that man.

Sad news , he set the place alight, he was amazing to watch. His 3 goals in the 2011 GF keep us in it .

Yep sad news. What a player. Awesome awesome player. Any computer geeks able to knock up a highlights vid. I'm sure there is a bucket load to work with.

I can't remember who said it but this quote will always stick with me:

"If footy was played in a phone box, Andrew Krakouer would have won 5 brownlows by now."

Hell of a player and could do some amazing things on the footy field that few have before. Along with Leigh Brown, his short time with the Pies had a hell of an impact on me and I will always remember him fondly.

To me personally it's fitting that krakour finished his career at west perth. I grew up a west perth fan and was sitting in the members one day at leederville oval in the late seventies when we were playing Claremont who jimmy and Phil krakour played for. Late in the game jimmy came off the ground to to most vile barrage of racist abuse. The look of pain and anger I saw on his face is etched deep into my memory.i was 12 at the time and it was my first experience of racial abuse. I've always felt ashamed a at the way the crowd behaved and vowed never to vilify someone myself. When Andrew played for us it reminded me of that incident.im not sure how much things have changed,Leon Davis says not much. Anyway that's my little story, congratulations Andrew

+1. Sad to see. I would've loved to have had him with us this year.

Awesome footballer, what a story of redemption. Can't remember the name but he narrated a doco on the prison team in W.A, worth checking out. Played footy on the off beat better than most, showed up in big moments, leaves a highlight reel to rival the best of them, onya krak

Dunno bout the 5 brownlows but the first part was Danny frawley who was his coach when first drafted to Richmond. In close, Krak was brilliant.

Very good player for a short time for us. I'm glad we gave him the second chance, IMHO that was a win win situation.

having seen him close up I'm still amazed that he could do what he did without being snapped in half. Skinny little bugger, a decent hit should have broken him but he just up and on with it.

This was one of the most heartbreaking things about that loss. Krak kicked 3 as a small forward, in a losing team, at the Big Show. You can't ask more than that...

He was a joy to watch in 2011 and just lit up the competition. I miss him terribly. Hail & farewell Krak. All the best for the next phase of your life....
